In our second year of endorsements, AAPI Victory Alliance continues to build power within the AAPI community to protect the safety, wellbeing, and livelihood of Asian and Pacific Islanders across America. This year, AAPI Victory Alliance is focusing on Virginia state races, and recognizing candidates who have the best interest of AAPIs at heart.

“As an Indian American immigrant, I'm honored and excited to accept the endorsement of AAPI Victory Alliance. Whether through my work as the first Vice Chair for the Democratic Asian Americans of Virginia or as the Mid-Atlantic & Southern Regional Director for South Asians for America — I have always fought for AAPIs to have a seat at the table. My goal, clear and simple, is for everyone in our community to have the chance to thrive. I am grateful for the support of AAPI Victory Alliance and look forward to working on behalf of the AAPI community, and all communities, in the Virginia House of Delegates.” - Shyamali Hauth, Candidate for District 7 House of Delegates

“My story growing up in a first-generation immigrant family from Bangladesh is one that would not be possible without the caring members of the Falls Church community. I've seen firsthand the real impacts that affordable housing, accessible healthcare, quality education and community support can have on our lives, and I'm running to give back to the community that took a chance on my family when we were homeless on the streets of Washington D.C. I could not be more proud to receive an endorsement from AAPI Victory Alliance as I fight to ensure that all Virginians have the same support my family did as we began our lives in America." - Saddam Salim, Candidate for District 37 State Senate.
